New Music Round Up

It’s a new year and that means not only are we awaiting the revelation of all this year’s Eurovision contenders, but Eurovision artists from years gone by have also been busy in the studio recording new music. Here’s some of the hits released in January! Included in the list is two time Iceland representative Greta Salome, two time Hungarian singer Donny Montell, Monika Linkyte from Lithuania and British duo Joe and Jake and a solo single from Alex Larke from Electro Velvet!

Eurovision Lithuania Donny MontellTwo time Eurovision representative for Lithuania is back with his new single ‘Light It Up’. The song is the follow up to his 2016 Eurovision attempt ‘I’ve Been Waiting For This Night’ which saw Donny sporting a perm, white leather jacket and back flipping his way to 9th place in the Eurovision Final.

The Lithuanian national selection process was hard to watch. Mainly because it was pretty clear that Donny Montell was the obvious winner eight weeks ahead of him actually being crowned champ. The song he will sing at Eurovision 2016 is called ‘I’ve Been Waiting For This Night’- a commentary perhaps on the process? Just kidding! But what did we make of his song?…
