Details of Sweden’s Melfest 2018 Revealed!

Sweden’s Eurovision selection competition Melodifestivalen is one of the most anticipated events in the Eurovision calendar. Spanning over six weeks and six major Swedish cities, the competition is a celebration of Schlager, a coup d’etat of kitsch and just downright fun. Eurovision NI Awards 2017: Best Song From Selection Shows

Eurovision preparation begins months before the Eurovision Final in May. Many countries host their own national selection shows which take place over a number of weeks and usually there are a number of epic tracks that don’t get the chance to progress to the Eurovision finals. We honour those songs that narrowly missed out from the likes of Melfest, UMK, You Decide, Songvakeppnin, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, A Dal, Festivali i Kenges, Eesti Laul, Supernova and many more with the category Best Song From Selection Shows at the Eurovision NI Awards 2017.

New Music Round Up: July 2017 (Part One)!

Another month over, and another month jam packed full of hits. There have been so many new hits from our Eurovision faves, that again this month we’ve had to split the new music round up in to two parts. This first part features new music from Eurovision Queen Loreen who returns with ‘Body’, two songs from Portugal’s Luciana Abreu, our fave Melfest duo Samir and Viktor, as well as new music from Ott Lepland, Getter Jaani, Barei, Tijana Bogicevic, Andras Kallay Saunders and this year’s Eurovision interval act Onuka. Loreen Returns with ‘Body’!

Eurovision queen, Loreen is back with a new single. The song dropped today after the singer had teased it on her social media pages earlier in the week. Entitled ‘Body’, the song paves the way for a new album ‘Nude’ due for release on 25 August. Continue reading
