The Eurovision NI Awards are back for a fifth consecutive year in 2020. Initial details were unveiled a few weeks ago, announcing that the Awards will take place through Zoom on Saturday 3 October 2020 from 8pm. Tickets are free and you can register to attend on our Eventbrite page.

Today we reveal the nominees. Read on to find out who has been nominated in our eleven ‘Best’ categories and our five ‘Worst’ Categories. As always you can have your say with the People’s Choice Award and we can confirm that our special award: The Rising Phoenix Award for Outstanding Contribution to Eurovision goes to Jon Ola Sand in 2020.

Roxen Will Sing ‘Alcohol You’ at Eurovision 2020!

Romanian broadcaster TVR staged their national final this evening. The artist who they had selected internally, Roxen, performed five songs and in the end up it was ‘Alcohol You’ that was chosen by the public and jury to compete at Eurovision 2020. The full results are below.

Melfest is the Swedish selection show for Eurovision. It has a special place in every Eurofan’s heart. The schlager hit factory has been responsible for launching the careers of superstars like ABBA, Carola, Loreen, Mans Zelmerlow and Sanna Nielsen. A mainstay of the Eurovision calendar, the TV singing competition is set to be immortalised with a new Hall of Fame which will be launched by broadcaster SVT next month.

ESC250 2019: Top Song Per Country!


Earlier this week the eurovision fan website in comjunction with ESC Radio revealed the ESC Top 250. The annual ESC250 competition asks fans to allocate points to their favourite Eurovision songs of all time. The votes are collated just before Christmas and revealed in a live countdown on ESC Radio on New Year’s Eve. Below is the top entries on the chart per country!

This week’s picks include tracks from Eurovision faves Eleni Foureira, Mikolas Josef, Krista Siegfrids, Greta Salome, Vaidas Baumila, Marco Mengoni and this year’s Eurovision winner Duncan Laurence. There have been so many great songs this year that we’ve decided to expand our Top 30 songs of the year to 40. 24 songs have already made it through to the final round by coming in the top three in each of their group polls. Now it’s time to reveal the 16 wildcards that will join them!
