This week we kicked off our annual competition to find the top 40 songs from former Eurovision stars in 2019. The first set of 16 contenders were posted on Monday and you have been voting for your favourites. It’s now time to reveal the results and announce which five songs have made it through to the final 40.
We have started our quest to compile a list of the Top 40 songs released by Eurovision stars in 2019. Our first batch of sixteen songs include hits from previous winners Celine Dion (Switzerland, 1988), Lena (Germany, 2010) Eldar (Azerbaijan, 2011) and Conchita (Austria, 2014), as well as new tracks from the likes of Mahmood, Ilse Delange, Darude, Dami Im and Kate Miller Heidke. Netta Barzilai won Israel’s Rising Star last month, giving her the right to represent the nation at Eurovision 2018. The contest was however not responsible for choosing the song she would sing in Lisbon in May, and we’ve had to wait until now to hear the song for the first time. Check out ‘Toy’ below:

Israel’s quest for a Eurovision superstar for 2018 kicked off last week when Israel’s Rising Star returned to our screens. Episode two aired this week and another three hopefuls advanced to the next round.
Who will follow in the footsteps of Imri Ziv, Hovi Star and Nadav Guedj and win the Israeli Eurovision selection show: Israel’s Rising Star? Well we got one step closer to finding out as the 2018 edition of the competition kicked off at the weekend.
Eurovision fans all feared the worst when one of the Contest’s stalwarts announced the demise of their national broadcaster at Eurovision 2017 and that Imri Ziv may be Israel’s last ever entry. News last month however confirmed that they had reached a temporary solution and would be back for the 2018 edition in Lisbon. This week it has been announced that Israeli selection show Israel’s Rising Star will also return.
