Bulgaria Choose Equinox for 2018!

Bulgaria are a nation whose Eurovision stock is on the rise. Since a two year absence from 2014-2015, they have achieved a fourth place and a second place finish for Poli Genova and Kristian Kostov respectively. Everyone has therefore been waiting with bated breath to see who their pick would be for 2018. And man did they drag it out to the last minute! The last possible day before the deadline for entrants to be confirmed and Bulgaria breaks their silence announcing that Equinox will be their choice for Eurovision in May this year. It’s Benjamin Ingrosso for Sweden at Eurovision 2018!

Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2018 has drawn to a close this evening following the hosting of its final in Stockholm. Twelve acts were in contention with eight qualifying directly from their heats and a further four joining them from the second chance show last week. In the end up Benjamin Ingrosso has been crowned the champ for 2018 and will represent Sweden in Lisbon in May with the song ‘Dance You Off’. Read on to get a round up of the full results.

Claudia Pascoal Wins Festival Da Cancao 2018!

Reigning Eurovision champions Portugal continued their title defence when their national selection competition Festival da Cancao aired its final episode last night. Fourteen acts had advanced to the final (Diogo Passoa withdrew during the week, and was replaced by Susana Travassos) but only one could go on to represent the nation at Eurovision 2018. In the end the opted for Claudia Pascoal who will sing ‘O Jardim’ in May.

Jessika feat. Jenifer Brening Win 1in360 and will Represent San Marino at Eurovision 2018!

San Marino: the micro-state with big ambitions for Eurovision 2018. The nation launched its online talent search 1in360 back in late 2017 and received submissions from all over the world. A few months later and they selected a shortlist of eleven. For the past two weeks they’ve showcased these singers in two webisodes which determined the acts that would compete in tonight’s final. The results are in and we can reveal that it will be Jessika feat. Jenifer Brening representing San Marino at Eurovision 2018 having been crowned the winner earlier this evening. Continue reading
