It’s the end of another month, which means it’s time for another new music round up. Debuting in February 2017 were some songs from some of our favourite recent Eurovision stars. This includes a duet between Armenian selection show judges Aram MP3 and Iveta Mukuchyan, new material from Ireland’s twins Jedward, Juri Pootsmann from Estonia, Sandjha from Finland, former Serebro singer Elena Teminkova and a new song from Elina Born, penned by Stig Rasta which will compete in the Estonian national selection in 2017. Eurovision NI Awards 2016Tomorrow night at 8.30pm will see the first ever Eurovision NI Awards take place. Last month we revealed which acts were nominated across the sixteen categories. Eurovision NI Awards 2016This year we have decided to hold the inaugural Eurovision NI Awards. We will celebrate the good, the bad and the ugly at Eurovision 2016 over 16 categories, as well as presenting the Phoenix Award for Outstanding Contributing to Eurovision. We have chosen the nominees for each category (which are listed below) and we are now asking you to vote for your favourites in each category, with the results being announced in four weeks time on Saturday 22 October.

Even Georgia Didn’t Think Georgia Would Qualify!

Georgia Eurovision 2016In a surprise result, Georgia’s Nika Kocharov and the Young Georgian Lolitaz qualified from last night’s second semi final with their song ‘Midnight Gold’. The band went through to the Final of Eurovision 2016 ahead of some other strong contenders including Ireland’s Nicky Byrne, Denmark’s Lighthouse X, Agnete from Norway and Ivan from Belarus who fulfilled his dream of performing on stage naked with a wolf (albeit through CGI).

Two songs will advance from Group C to the knock out stage of our Eurovision World Cup Contest. Group C consists of Germany, Georgia, Croatia, Norway, Romania and San Marino. Listen to each of the songs in this group and vote for your favourite two in the poll below. Poll closes 4th April when the results will be unveiled.

Barei Spain Eurovision 2016As Eurvovision draws closer, more and more of the acts are upping their game. Although Spanish representative Barei was chosen a number of months ago, she has only this week revealed the official music video for her Eurovision song ‘Say Yay!’.
