Frans has won Melodifestivalen and will represent Sweden when they host the Eurovision in Stockholm in May with song ‘If I Were Sorry’.
We are just hours away from finding out which of the twelve acts will win this year’s Melodifestivalen. It is between Panetoz, Lisa Ajax, David Lindgren, SaRaha, Oscar Zia, Ace Wilder, Robin Bengtsson, Molly Sanden, Boris Rene, Wiktoria, Samir and Viktor and the bookies’ favourite Frans. Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s Eurovision Selection, continued tonight with the fourth show live from Galve. Seven acts performed in this heat but there was only two spots in the final and a further two places for them to compete in the Second Chance Show.
Eurovision fans will be spoilt for choice tonight with seven Eurovision selection shows to chose from. Among these shows are three of the Scandinavian nations with Finland and Norway both hosting the final of their national selections and Sweden who will deliver the fourth of their Melodifestivalen shows. All of these shows will kick off at 20:00 CET tonight, but before they do, we reveal who has topped each of the nation’s polls.
Melfest Show 3 took place on Saturday night in Norrköping’s Himmelstalundshallen and was hosted again by Gina Dirawi. This week however Dirawi was joined by guest host Henrik Schyffert. Two spots were up for grabs in the Final and another two places in the Second Chance Show.

Melodifestivalen 2016 continues this weekend with the second show taking place in Malmo from 8pm CET. The show will feature seven competitors and will be hosted by Gina Dirawi and due to a sponsorship conflict, Charlotte Pirelli will not co-host but instead will give a special guest performance. Melodifestivalen 2016 kicked off in style tonight with the first of their live semi finals from Gothenbergs’s Scandinavium. Presenter Gina Dirawi was joined by presenting legend Petra Mede who performed the opening number of the show.
