Since her victory at Eurovision 2016, Jamala has enjoyed musical success with follow up hits ‘I Believe in U’ and ‘Wings’.
She also got married to long term partner Bekir Suleimanov, gave birth to their son Emir. During her time as panelist on Ukrainian Eurovision selection show Vidbir she has become a widely shared gif and caused international controversy. In 2019 she posed a very ‘uncomfortable question’ to eventual winner of the show Maruv, who subsequently withdrew as a result and this led to Ukraine pulling out of the 2019 Contest.

With selection shows in full swing, we take a break from this year’s Contest and look at the new releases from some of our favourite singers from the past few years. February sees new releases from former winner Jamala, as well as France’s Amir, Armenia’s Iveta Mukuchyan, Croatian Jacques Houdek and a duet between Norwegian producer JOWST and last year’s runner up Kristian Kostov.

Not only that but we are very excited at the announcement this week that the trio will be heading to Kiev in 2017 to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest.
