Hungarian singer Andras Kallay Saunders represented his country in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with his song ‘Running’ which finihsed in the top five. In 2016 he tried to make a Eurovision comeback with his band aptly named Kallay Saunders Band but their song ‘Who We Are’ missed out in the final of national selection show A Dal to Freddie’s ‘Pioneer’.
Freddie has been crowned the winner of A Dal 2016 and will represent Hungary at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest with his song ‘Pioneer’. The 25 year old from Budapest has had a long slog in the contest qualifying from a heat round and semi final round. He had his work cut out for him with stiff competition from returning Eurovision act Andras Kallay Saunders who represented Hungary in the 2014 contest.
As the eight remaining contenders get ready to take the stage to perform in the final of Hungary’s A DAL, Eurovision selection show, we have asked you to vote for your favourite song in our poll. The poll has now closed and I can reveal that coming out on top was Freddie’s ‘Pioneer’ with 37.8% of the vote.
