The fifth group of Eurovision NI’s Song of 2019 takes place this week. This week’s picks include tracks from Eurovision faves Mikolas Josef, Loic Nottet, Emma Marrone and Slavko as well as 2010 winner Lena and Dutch girl band O’G3NE. Check out all sixteen songs below and vote for your five favourites in the poll. The vote will close at midnight on Saturday and results revealed on Sunday.

In January 2018, France will host a national selection show to pick their Eurovision 2018 act for the first time in four years. The show entitled ‘Destination Eurovision’ was announced earlier this year, and today the broadcaster France 2 announced further details about the show.

Recently it has been rare that France have had a national selection contest for Eurovision. Between 2008 and 2013 and again since 2015 they have opted to select their act through an internal selection process. This has given them a fairly good success rate with Alma finishing twelfth, and Amir especially coming in sixth place, their best result in the last fifteen years. Today however French broadcaster France 2 revealed that they will air multiple episodes of a new show Destination Eurovision to select their artist and song for Eurovision 2018.
