September is over and we are well and truly into autumn. It’s time to hoke out your autumnal scarves and jumpers and catch up with your favourite Eurovision stars. This month sees new music releases from the likes of Russian hotties Sergey Lazarev and Dima Bilan, Danish star Basim, Armenian fave Iveta Mukuchyan and new music from the class of 2017: Serbia’s Tijana Bogicevic, Ukraine’s O. Torvald, Italy’s Francesco Gabbani and Belarus’ Naviband.
Everyone loves a comeback! And we at Eurovision NI are no different. There has been a trend in recent years for Eurovision stars from the past making a return to the Eurovision stage. This year was no different with several of our faves making a reappearance. Here are the nominees for the category Best Returning Act at the Eurovision NI Awards 2017. Tijana will fly the flag for Serbia in 2017. She will open proceedings in Semi Final 2 later this evening when she performs her Eurovision song ‘In Too Deep’. But will she sink or will she swim? Here’s what I think!
For the past four days you have been voting in Group H of the Eurovision NI World Cup 2017! We have closed the poll and can now reveal the results and announce which two countries have made it through to the next round of the competition.
The two songs advancing from Group H are Australia’s ‘Don’t Come Easy’ by Isaiah Firebrace who topped the poll with 37% and second place Iceland’s Svala whose ‘Paper’ got 32% in the poll. Meanwhile the other three countries in this poll Switzerland, Armenia and Latvia have been eliminated. Check out the full results below.
