Georgian Idol To Serve As Eurovision Selection!

Georgia’s Eurovision record has been far from exemplary in the past few years. Both Iriao and Tamara Gachechiladze, the country’s entries in 2018 and 2017 respectively, failed to make an indelible impression on juries and televoters Europe wide, as neither act made it to the Grand Final. Georgia seem set to turn this around in 2019 and last week laid out their plans for selecting their artist and song for the Contest: Georgian Idol.

Review: Georgia- Tako Gachechiladze ‘Keep the Faith’

In Tako Gachechiladze, we have yet another returning artist for 2017. You may recognise the Georgian singer from the controversial banned song from 2009 ‘We Don’t Wanna Put In’. Two songs will advance from Group G to the knock out stage of our Eurovision World Cup Contest. Group G consists of Sweden, Georgia, The Netherlands, Macedonia and Malta. Ranking: Eurovision Songs 2017 (Week 9)

This week has been a corker for Eurovision selections and announcements with all but three of the countries revealing their Eurovision 2017 artists and songs. Australia, Greece, Belgium, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Ireland, Macedonia, Iceland Serbia, Israel, Lithuania, San Marino and Norway have joined the list of Eurovision 2017 songs.
