July ushers in a summer full of new hits from your Eurovision faves. This month we take a look at new tracks from Latvia’s Aminata, everyone’s favourite saxy group Sunstroke Project, Polish butter churner/singer CLEO and Eurovision 2018 alums Lea Sirk (Slovenia), AWS (Hungary) and Sevak Khanagyan (Armenia).
June has been so jam-packed with musical goodness that we have had to split our music round up across two parts. This first part includes new songs from Croatia’s Nina Kraljic, new music from Samra, Aminata, Barei, Ani Lorak and Manel Navarro, as well as three new songs from Armenia’s Iveta Mukuchyan including a duet with fellow Depi Evratesil judge Aram MP3, some rock hits from Cyrpus’ Minus One and Romania’s Voltaj and a new solo song from FreakyFortune’s Nikolas Raptakis. Check out the line up below!
Aminata has been bitten by the Eurovision bug. Not satisfied with competing in Eurovision 2015, giving Latvia one of their best Eurovision results ever with song ‘Love Injected’, the singer returned to Eurovision in 2016 as a song writer, penning the Latvian entry again with song ‘Heartbeat’ sang this time by Justs. In 2017 Aminata has announced that she will enter a song to the Latvian Eurovision selection show Supernova and today has announced plans that she also wishes to submit a song for the Lithuanian selection show Eurovizjios.
Over the next nine weeks we will be looking closely at some of the songs released in 2016 by former Eurovision contestants. We will be asking you to vote for your favourite from the lists before compiling a final Top 30 just before the end of the year.
Last week Latvian singer and Eurovision 2015 competitor Aminata released her second studio album. The follow up to her debut effort ‘Inner Voice’ is entitled ‘Red Moon’. The album features eight tracks including singles ‘Bridges’, ‘Fighter’ and title track ‘Red Moon’.
