There’s nothing worse when an act tries to be cool at Eurovision and falls flat on their face. Cringeworthy moments usually arise when there is naff staging, they choose a dated artist, when the cheese has been laid on a bit too thick, or the act/song/vocal/staging or all of the above is just downright bad. You watch these performers with your head in your hands and just want the world to swallow them up whole. Last year the gong was awarded to Frans. Omar Naber has made a return to the Eurovision stage in 2017. Twelve years after his first attempt for Slovenia, Naber will sing ‘On My Way’ in Kiev. In 2005 he failed to make it through to the Final with song ‘Stop’, can he improve on this in 2017? I’m not convinced.
