It’s Barei for Spain!
NewsSpain have chosen Barei and her song ‘Say Yay!’ as their entry for Eurovision 2016. The decision came following the staging of their national final Objetivo Eurovision earlier tonight.

Despite being one of the ‘Big 5’ and therefore automatically qualifying for the final each year, Spain have not won a Eurovision Song Contest since 1969. This was the second time they have won, having also won the contest the year before. The 1970s gave them three second place finishes, but more recently they haven’t fared so well. Since 2000 they have had six top ten finishes including the 2014 entry ‘Dancing In the Rain’ from Ruth Lorenzo. Despite being a firm fan favourite in 2015, Edurne’s ‘Amanecer’ only managed to finish 21st with 15 points. But what’s in store for 2016? Read on to find out!
