Loreen Day is almost over, but before we wrap things up for the day we want to set forth a case for you to vote for Loreen and her winning Eurovision song “Euphoria” as the best Eurovision Song Ever in our poll.
Check out this special interview Loreen did with BBC Breakfast shortly after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012. In the interview she talks about how busy she has been since winning and how the staging of “Euphoria” meant that she choked on fake snow.
Following a triumphant win at 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, Loreen returned with new material the following year when her home country Sweden hosted proceedings. The new single she chose to showcase a new album with was “We Got the Power”. Watch the video here.
Loreen’s fans have been waiting three long years for a follow up album to the 2012 best selling “Heal”. It recently emerged that fans long wait was over when Loreen announced a new album could be expected later in 2015. The name of the much anticipated album would be “Paper Lights”. Continue reading
1. Loreen was born Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui in Stockholm, Sweden in983 to Moroccan Berber immigrant parents, She was raised in a Liberal Muslim household.
2. Loreen rose to fame on Sweden’s version of Pop Idol in 2004 performing songs such as Pink’s ‘Like a Pill’ and Britney Spears’ ‘Stronger’. She was eliminated in Week 8 of the live shows finishing in fourth overall. The eventual winner of the competition was Daniel Lindstrom.Continue reading
