Melfest is one of the most anticipated Eurovision selections of the season. The presenting line up was announced last month (Eric Saade, Sarah Dawn Finer, Kodjo Akolor and Marika Carlsson) and rumours have been rife as to which acts would compete in this year’s contest. Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2018 has drawn to a close this evening following the hosting of its final in Stockholm. Twelve acts were in contention with eight qualifying directly from their heats and a further four joining them from the second chance show last week.
