This week digital music streaming service Spotify released its annual ‘Wrapped’ feature which allows subscribers to view which songs, artists and genres of music have been their most listened to throughout the year. No surprises that 100% of our most listened to songs in 2019 were by Eurovision artists or artists from Eurovision selection shows. Read on to find out which made our top 100 most streamed songs.
This week we kicked off our annual competition to find the top 40 songs from former Eurovision stars in 2019. The first set of 16 contenders were posted on Monday and you have been voting for your favourites. It’s now time to reveal the results and announce which five songs have made it through to the final 40.
We have started our quest to compile a list of the Top 40 songs released by Eurovision stars in 2019. Our first batch of sixteen songs include hits from previous winners Celine Dion (Switzerland, 1988), Lena (Germany, 2010) Eldar (Azerbaijan, 2011) and Conchita (Austria, 2014), as well as new tracks from the likes of Mahmood, Ilse Delange, Darude, Dami Im and Kate Miller Heidke. In 2019 Australia used a national final to select their act and song for Eurovision. This was the first time the nation chose to do so since they started competing in 2015. The show was called Australia Decides and proved to be a huge success, selecting Kate Miller Heidke’s ‘Zero Gravity’ as its representative. Australian broadcaster SBS announced that the selection show is set to make a return in 2020.

Today the first round of rehearsals for Eurovision 2019 continued with the eight remaining acts from Semi Final 1 taking to the stage for the first time, giving us an idea of how they sound live and how they will stage their song when Eurovision kicks off proper with the first semi final on 14 May.
