Earlier this week the eurovision fan website songfestival.be in comjunction with ESC Radio revealed the ESC Top 250. The annual ESC250 competition asks fans to allocate points to their favourite Eurovision songs of all time. The votes are collated just before Christmas and revealed in a live countdown on ESC Radio on New Year’s Eve. Below is the top entries on the chart per country!

Italian broadcaster RAI moved the new artists portion of the Sanremo festival to December. This competition played out over the last few nights and was won by Mahmood and Einar. They will join the other 22 artists for the Big Artists part of the Sanremo Festival in February. The winner of this segment will be given first refusal to become the Italian Eurovision 2019 representative.
This week Italy have treated us to a week long series of concert which will conclude tomorrow night with the last night of the Sanremo Festival and the winner will go on to represent the nation at Eurovision 2019. After an absolute stinker last year with Anti Social Media, Denmark are hoping to return to their usually good form at Eurovision with boyband Lighthouse X. Italy’s weeklong marathon song contest, Sanremo came to a close last night. The overall ‘Big Artists’ was won by Stadio with their song ‘Un giorno mi dirai’. They had advanced to the final round alongside Francesca Michielin who finished in second and duo Giovanni Caccamo & Deborah Iurato who finished third.
Tonight is the final night of Italy’s Sanremo song contest and is the culmination of a week long series of concerts in which twenty acts have competed in the Big Artists competition and tonight they will crown a winner.
