Our Eurovision World Cup feature returned for the second year in 2017. You have been voting in the various rounds of the Contest over the past two months. Last week we whittled it down to the two finalists and we can now reveal that the winner of the contest is Israel’s Imri Ziv with song ‘I Feel Alive’.
With the Eurovision live shows kicking off next week, we have come to the end of our own competition: the Eurovision World Cup! The Final will be contested between the two remaining songs. Israel’s Imri Ziv will fight it out with the UK’s Lucie Jones. But which song will be crowned the winner of Eurovision NI’s World Cup 2017? ‘I Feel Alive’ or ‘Never Give Up On You’?
Although this is Imri Ziv’s first time as lead artist for Eurovision, he has also represented Israel in 2015 and 2016 as backing singer for Nadav Guedj and Hovi Star. It really makes you wonder why they have kept such a gem hidden in the background for so long when he is fully capable of taking centre stage and winning over Eurovision audiences world wide.
We are now in the penultimate week of the Eurovision World Cup 2017! Four countries remain in the running (United Kingdom, Sweden, Cyprus and Israel) and they will now face off against each other head to head in this the Semi Final Round. Only two of the songs will make it into next week’s final, so be sure to vote wisely. The match ups are below.
Eight acts have been battling it out for a place in the Eurovision World Cup Semi Finals. The polls closed on sunday evening and we can now reveal the results.
