Bosnian singer Deen, who performed with singer Dalal, rapper Jala and Croatian cellist Ana Rucner at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, will support Joss Stone on her upcoming world tour. The Bosnian entry finished in eleventh in their semi final of Eurovision with their song ‘Ljubav je’ and therefore narrowly missed out on making it to the final.
Bosnia and Herzigovina are pulling out all the stops this year. They have not one, not two, not three but four seasoned musicians coming together for an epic collaboration. Dalal and Deen have the pop vocals covered, Ana Rucner adds some classical music with her cello and rapper Jala with give it an urban flavour as well.
Bosnia Herzegovina were one of the first nations to announce their acts for Eurovision 2016. A full house collaboration will see R&B singer Dalal Midhat-Talakic team up with not only ex boy band singer Fuad Backovic Deen and renowned Croatian cellist Ana Rucner but also hip hop and rap star Jala. Earlier this week it was announced that the song they would sing in Stockholm 2016 would be called ‘Ljubav je’ (or ‘Love Is’ in English).
Bosnia and Herzegovina have the distinct achievement of having qualified for the Eurovision Final every year that they competed since the semi finals were introduced in 2004. Having said that, their average placing is 13th and their best ever result was third which they achieved in 2006 with the song ‘Lejla’ performed by Hari Mata Hari. Bosnia and Herzegovina have been missing from Eurovision in the past few years as they withdrew from the contest in 2013 due to financial reasons, but they are set to return this year.
