As we enter 2017, Eurovision national finals are in full flow. Lithuanian broadcaster LRT have announced the nation’s plans for selecting their song and artist for the 2017 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. The tried and tested format Eurovizijos will return in 2017 with the first of its four heats taking place on 7th January.
The last few years the UK have selected a well known person or group to represent them at Eurovision. We’ve had power ballad Queen Bonnie Tyler, boy band legends Blue and crooner Englebert Humperdink. The UK entry is selected by a committee and not voted for by the public so there was never a list of competitors or any live shows with competing entries battling out, so this article is based on some of the rumours we’d heard.
