Top 10: Duos 2007-2016!

2017 has been a stellar year for duets at Eurovision with six countries choosing couples to represent them. This includes Finland’s Norma John, Estonia’s Koit Toome and Laura, Norway’s JOWST and Alexander Walmann, San Marino’s Valentina Monetta and Jimmie Wilson, Belarus’s Navi Band and Romania’s Ilinca and Alex Florea. Review: Czech Republic- Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Bárta ‘Hope Never Dies’

2015 seems to be the year for male female duos singing ballads. Not one to deviate from this theme, Czech Republic have chosen Marta Jandova and Vaclav Noid Barta as their entry for this year and their song is- shocker!- a piano ballad called ‘Hope Never Dies’. 2015 sees Czech Republic return to the contest following a five year haitus, and they are hoping to return to the contest with a bang. Review: San Marino- Anita and Michele ‘Chain of Lights’

san2In 2014 Valentina Monetta helped San Marino qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time since they debuted at the Contest in 2008. Hoping to continue this trend in 2015 is 16 year olds Anita Simoncini and Michele Perniola with their song ‘Chain of Lights’.  Continue reading
