15 Things We learned this week

1. Vienna officially became the host city for Eurovision 2015 this week when the Host City Insignia Exchange took place on Monday 26th at Vienna’s City Hall.

2. Shortly after this ceremony, the semi final draw took place and we now know which countries will compete in which semi finals. For more info read our story here.

3. The host venue Weiner Stadthalle has released official plans for the stage for the Eurovision 2015. It will consist of 1288 individual pillars and measures 44 metres in width, 14.3 metres in height and up to 22 metres in depth. Best Eurovision Song Ever Poll

eurologoLast year we pitted all the 2014 Eurovision songs against each other in our Twitter Battles to see which song was your favourite. In the end we crowned Swedish entry Sanna Nielsen’s ‘Undo’ as the Twitter champion. When all the acts have been announced we will do the same this year again, but in the meantime we want to find out which is your favourite Eurovision song of all time. I picked what I thought was the 32 best Eurovision songs over the last 59 years, which was a difficult enough task in itself. It consists of 26 former winners and 6 songs which just missed out on the top position.
