Mahmood finished runner up at the 2019 edition of Eurovision with his song ‘Soldi’. The Italian has gone from strength to strength since, releasing a number of hit singles including the tracks ‘Barrio’ and collaboration ‘Calipso’ and he has toured throughout Europe. Since his Eurovision appearance, he has been working on an as of yet untitled second album, the follow up to his highly successful debut ‘Gioventù bruciata’. Today he has released the lead single from the album ‘Rapide’.
For the past few weeks we have been asking for your input to help us select our favourite songs from Eurovision stars that were released in 2019. We have compiled a Top 40 and now it’s time for us to share this with you. We have already revealed the songs 40-31, 30-21 and 20-11. Now it’s time for the songs numbers the top 10 and to find out which song has topped the chart!
This week saw the eighth group in our annual competition to find the top 40 songs from former Eurovision stars in 2019. This set of 16 contenders were posted on Monday and you have been voting for your favourites. It’s now time to reveal the results and announce which five songs have made it through to the final 40.
The final group of Eurovision NI’s Song of 2019 takes place this week and we’ve saved some of the best tunes for the last. We have songs from 2019 participants Mahmood, Serhat, Luca Hanni and Michela teams up with X-Factor Malta mentor Ira Losco. There’s also tracks from winners Dana, Lordi and Netta, and Spanish legend Ruth Lorenzo and Swedes Robin Bengtsson and Frans. Check out all sixteen songs below and vote for your five favourites in the poll. The vote will close at midnight on Saturday and results revealed on Sunday.
