‘No release before the summer, hopefully this fall’, says a representative from team ABBA. The band had been due to debut new music at the end of 2018 as part of a virtual ABBA experience that the band had been working on with music mogul Simon Fuller.
As Eurovision week 2018 approaches, some exciting news has broke about the 1974 winners Abba. The quartet comprised of Benny, Bjorn, Annifrid and Agnetha are to reform and release new music, their first album in 35 years. The band had been taking part in a recent virtual reality tour but only appeared together as holograms. This new music is an ‘unexpected consequence’ of that tour.
Benny and bjorn’s music and lyrics are one of the many reasons we love Abba so much. Take for instance the Abba Gold lyrics from “Dancing Queen”: “You are the dancing queen, young and sweet only seventeen, dancing queen feel the beat from the tambourine oh yeah!” Epic.
