Rock boy band trio Highway were announced as the pick for Montenegro a few months ago. Earlier today the band revealed their song for this year’s contest. The song’s title is ‘The Real Thing’ and you can watch the song’s video here.
What can we say about Montenegro’s track record at Eurovision? Hmm, it’s not great. Their first five attempts 2007-2013 all failed in progressing to the final. Things have got slightly better recently with Sergej Ćetković finishing 19th with ‘Moj Svijet’ in 2014 and last year, despite looking alike a creepy uncle at a wedding, Knez pulled off the best Montenegrin result ever with ‘Adio’ coming in in 13th place.
Today say the first round of rehearsals for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The Wiener Stadhalle welcomed the first batch of Eurovision hopefuls who got to perform on stage for the first time and see how their songs would sound in the live environment of the arena.
