1. Vienna officially became the host city for Eurovision 2015 this week when the Host City Insignia Exchange took place on Monday 26th at Vienna’s City Hall.

3. The host venue Weiner Stadthalle has released official plans for the stage for the Eurovision 2015. It will consist of 1288 individual pillars and measures 44 metres in width, 14.3 metres in height and up to 22 metres in depth. The LED pillars can produce a wide variety of lighting effects as can the 11 metre diameter

Switzerland pick Melanie Renee for Eurovision 2015
Switzerland have made their choice for Eurovision 2015, and it will be Melanie Renee going to Vienna with ‘Time to Shine’. Melanie Renee won after a live final in which the decision was made up of 50% of a public televote and 50% of a jury made up of experts including Switzerland’s representative from 2104, Sebalter.
We take a look at what you have to look forward to ahead of Switzerland’s national selection final on Saturday night (31st January). The field has been whittled down from 18 to just six finalists. Apart from one male contestant, it’s an all female line up and quite a strong line up too.
