The United Kingdom are of of the most successful countries in the Eurovision Song Contest. They have managed to rack up an impressive five wins including Sandy Shaw (1967), Lulu (1969), Brotherhood of Mann (1976), Buck’s Fizz (1981) and most recently in 1997 with Katrina and the Waves. What’s even more impressive is that they have a whopping fifteen second places from acts ranging from Cliff Richard and Matt Monro to Imaani and Sonia. As of late their track record has been less impressive, only cracking the top ten once on their last thirteen attempts.
