Ireland have uncharacteristically made us wait for the announcement of their Eurovision entry in 2019. It wasn’t until last week that we even had a date in the diary for the big reveal. Leaving it to the last possible moment has its upsides as they have perfectly built suspense and had many speculating for months as to who the big name would be.
