Eurovision NI’s Song of 2019: How it Works!

News, Song of 2019, Song of the Year

Over the next eight weeks we will be looking closely at some of the songs released in 2019 by former Eurovision contestants. We will be asking you to vote for your favourite from the lists before compiling a final Top 40 just before the end of the year.

How It Works

We have scrolled through the Eurovision releases from this year and have divided them into eight groups of 16 songs. Each week on a Monday we will post a different group with the videos for each song and ask you to vote for your five favourites. The polls will then close on the Saturday of that week. The top five songs from each group will qualify for the Top 40 and these will be revealed each Sunday.

All songs included on the list are songs from 2019 that have been released by former Eurovision contestants. We have excluded covers and songs that were competing in the national selection finals (for example KEiiNO’s ‘Shallow’, Anna Bergendahl’s ‘Ashes to Ashes’ or Sergey Lazarev’s ‘Scream’ would not be eligible).

Check back later today for the first group, and in the meantime please leave us a comment if there are any songs you feel should be included in the contest!
