This weekend saw X-Factor Celebrity move to the live show portion of the competition. Back in the judging seats were Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger who last week were given their categories (the groups, unders and overs respectively). The weekend started with thirteen acts, including rugby boyband Try Star, journalist Martin Bashir, chat show host Ricki Lake and former Glee star Kevin McHale.
Norwegian band KEiiNO have proven themselves as a real hit making factory. The trio have expanded on the success of their fifth place at Eurovision 2019 for song ‘Spirit in the Sky’. In the six months following their Eurovision appearance, the band have had success with cover versions of ‘Shallow’ (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper) and ‘Vill Ha Dig’ (Freestyle) and original track ‘Praying’. This weekend they have revealed another new track.
Hatari stoked controversy when the erupted, clad in leather bdsm gear during their performance of ‘Hatrid mun sigra’ at Eurovision 2019 and then again when they flew the Palestinian flag during the vote reveal in Israel. A follow up single ‘Klefi/Samed’ in the immediate aftermath of the competition saw them team up with gay Palestinian singer Bashar Marad.
Reigning Eurovision champ Duncan Laurence has released his first new track since winning the competition back in May. The Dutch singer follows up ‘Arcade’ with the new song ‘Love Don’t Hate It’.
