Eurovision NI Awards 2019: The Winners!

Earlier this evening the Eurovision NI Awards 2019 took place in Belfast’s Crumlin Road Gaol. In an action packed show, hosted by Denise Mulgrew and Brendan Hughes, a total of 19 awards were dished out. Special performances on the night came from the Eurovision 1992 winner Linda Martin and Lovelight (tribute act of the Outstanding Contribution to Eurovision Award recipient ABBA). Read on to find out who won big on the night.

The most awards went to Italian singer Mahmood who took home the awards for Best Male, Best Song and Best Song Not in the English Language for song ‘Soldi’. Kate Miller Heidke from Australia also impressed and took home the gongs for Best Female and Best Staging for her gravity defying performance of ‘Zero Gravity’. Other winners on the night included Lake Malawi for Best Group, Sergey Lazarev for Best Video, Tamara Todevska for Best Live Vocal, Mikolas Josef for Best New Song and Ukraine’s Maruv for Best Song from Selection Shows.
