Artist: Zala Kralj and Gasper Santl

‘Sebi’ opens with a hypnotic beat that sends us into a dream like reverie. When Zala’s vocals are added to the mix, the day dream gets deeper and deeper. The song is beautiful and I can see why it has grown increasingly popular with fans as Eurovision draws nearer and why the bookies have sliced the duo’s odds to win.
The music video for ‘Sebi’ looks quite retro (or dated), shot with a grainy quality. At different stages of the video Zala enters and exits a private jet. Clearly they have rented the plane for the video and were keen to get the most out of it.
Zala and Gasper will be hoping that they can give Slovenia their second qualification in a row and I’m sure they can just about edge it. The thing is the running order sees them sandwiched between the up tempo songs by Poland and the Czech Republic and this could have the effect of making them stand out, or the opposite effect and make the song appear boring in comparision to the two songs performing either side of them.
