Serbia concluded their search for a Eurovision representative for 2019 tonight when they crowned Nevena Bozovic the winner of their selection show Beovizija.
Eight acts had made it from their respective semi finals to tonight’s final of Festival Da Cancao, the competition that decides Portugal’s entry for Eurovision 2019. In the end only one of them could win, with the title going to Conan Osiris with ‘Telemóveis’.
Everyone deserves a second chance, or as it goes in Melfest the acts that finished third and fourth in their semi finals get a second bite of the cherry in the fifth week of their Eurovision selection show. Eight artists returned to the stage in Nyköping on Saturday to face off for the four spots in next week’s final.
After holding auditions for their selection show O Melodie Pentru Europa, Moldova’s judging panel were less than impressed. So much so that they have decided to axe their plans for a semi final and instead just go straight to a final. This final took place this evening and consisted of ten songs.
A few weeks ago Finland announced that euro dance legend Darude would represent the nation at Eurovision 2019. Tonight he presented three songs at the Finnish national final UMK and the Finnish public decided that it would be ‘Look Away’ that they wanted to represent them in Tel Aviv.
Tonight Norway chose their song and artist for Eurovision 2019. An action packed Melodi Grand Prix saw ten artists including the Norway 2015 Eurovision singer Morland as well as the likes of Hank Von Hell, Chris Medina and D’Sound.
