Ranking: Iceland’s Songvakeppnin 2019 Contenders!

Iceland’s pick last year was a little bit lack lustre, but they more than make up for it in 2019 with ten really good songs from a eclectic mix of genres. Any of the ten songs could go on to do very well at Eurovision and we had a difficult time trying to rate and rank them. We finally did it, read on to find out which are our favourites!

5. Þórdís Imsland- ‘Nú og hér / What Are You Waiting For?’


4. Hatari- ‘Hatrið mun sigra’

1. Heiðrún Anna Björnsdóttir- ‘Helgi / Sunday Boy’



The final will feature a guest performance from last year’s winner Ari Olafsson, and the Eurovision 2018 runner up Eleni Foureira. Which of the ten contenders are your favourites.
