This evening Estonia launched their bid to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 when they held the first of two semi finals for their selection show Eesti Laul.
It all kicks off in Gothenburg on Saturday night! One of the most anticipated selections of the Eurovision season: Sweden’s Melodifestivalen, will get under way in just two days’ time and today the Swedish broadcaster SVT gave us a sneak peak of what we can expect from the first semi final.
Who will follow in the footsteps of Rasmussen to win Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and represent Denmark at Eurovision 2019? Well today we got one step closer to finding out when DR announced the ten acts and songs that will take part in the Danish selection show on 23 February.
Iceland’s pick last year was a little bit lack lustre, but they more than make up for it in 2019 with ten really good songs from a eclectic mix of genres. Any of the ten songs could go on to do very well at Eurovision and we had a difficult time trying to rate and rank them. We finally did it, read on to find out which are our favourites!
