Gabriela Horn aka Pænda is Austrian’s pick for Eurovision 2019. The announcement was made by Austrian broadcaster ORF early this morning on a breakfast radio show.
Not only that, but the broadcaster have revealed that the title of her song is to be ‘Limits’. Although the song hasn’t been debuted yet, we can expect to hear it for the first time next month.
The blue-haired singer apparently christened herself Paenda (as in panda) as she feels she looks like the black and white bear when she wakes up in the morning. She is a native of Deutschlandsberg and has lived in Vienna for over ten years. She writes and composes all her own music and plays several instruments, tending to produce tracks that are in the genre of modern electronic pop with influences from EDM, House and Hip Hop.
She released her debut album ‘Evolution I’ which proved popular and a follow up album ‘Evolution II’ is expected just before she travels to Tel Aviv for Eurovision. Check out her track ‘Waves’ below to give you a taster of what you can expect from her.
