The first of September begins a new Eurovision season and we at Eurovision NI want to keep you updated on all the latest goings on. We’ve created a new table for the 2019 Contest that will let you know which countries will participate, information on the selection process, their artists and their songs. This page will be updated on a regular basis, but this is what we know so far!In November it was confirmed that 42 countries will participate in Eurovision 2019. Ukraine withdrew in February 2019, making the total to 41.
Andorra, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Monaco, Morocco, Slovakia and Turkey have confirmed they will not participate. Ukraine had planned to participate but when Maruv won Vidbir, she and the broadcaster couldn’t agree on the terms of the contract and when none of the acts who came runners up in the competition were willing to compete at Eurovision, Ukraine withdrew.
