Saara Aalto has made history by becoming the first ever contestant on ITV’s Dancing On Ice to sing and skate at the same time. Saara Aalto took to the ice in Sunday night’s episode of the competition along with her dance partner Hamish Gaman. While they performed their skating routine, Saara dressed as Elsa from Disney’s ‘Frozen’ also sang part of the song while she skated.
The judging panel consisting of Olympic skating stars Torvill and Dean, as well as Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner praised her for her performance and awarded her 26.0 points. This was one of the higher scores of the week.
This week is the first week that all contestants performed in the rink and saw them dance to songs from musicals.
Also in the contest is controversial TOWIE star Gemma Collins, actor and singer Richard Blackwood, Love Island finalist Wes Nelson and former Westlife Star Brian McFadden.
This is not the first time Saara has performed ‘Let It Go’. In fact she is the voice of Anna in the Finnish language version of the film, she has recorded her own version of the song in over 15 languages and she performed it on X-Factor UK.
