Latvia Launch Supernova 2019!

Latvia’s Supernova was launched to the public earlier today when the broadcaster LTV revealed the songs that were in contention for this year’s Latvian Eurovision selection show. All in all 33 songs were invited to audition live on Thursday 22 November. The broadcaster have now published the performances of these songs both on their website and their official YouTube channel.

Among the acts are some of our favourites from previous years including Markus Riva, Edgars Kreilis and Samanta Tina. Check out the full list:

The jury will select a number of these acts/songs (approx 20) to compete in the January live finals. The finalists are expected to be revealed on 5 December.

Latvia has used Supernova to select their Eurovision entry since 2015. Aminata won the first series and finished sixth at Eurovision 2015 with ‘Love Injected’. Since then their results have been less favourable Justs (15th in 2016), Triana Park (did not qualify in 2017) and Laura Rizzotto (did not qualify in 2018).
