Irish Eurovision singer Ryan O’Shaughnessy has announced that he is to embark on an island of Ireland tour in the autumn of 2018.
The singer whose song ‘Together’ saw Ireland qualify for the Eurovision final for the first time in five years, will kick off his ‘Civil War’ Tour on 15 September at Enniscorthy’s Presentation Arts Centre. The tour will then take in other venues throughout the country including Limerick, Portaferry, Drogheda, Cork, Castleblayney, Castlebar and Strabane. Majority of the gigs will take place at the weekend either on a Friday or Saturday night, with tickets priced £15/€15.
Ryan grabbed international headlines in 2018 when his choice of same sex dancers in both his video and staging for his Eurovision 2018 performance was banned by Chinese broadcasters.
Following his impressive 16th place finish at Eurovision, Ryan has been busy recording new music in the studio, which he will showcase on the tour along with old favourites like ‘No Name’, ‘Fingertips’ and ‘Got This Feeling’.
The singer has urged fans to keep an eye on his website as further dates are to be added in due course. Fingers crossed for a Belfast gig!
