The country that almost missed out on competing at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest have decided on their act. Macedonian broadcaster MRT have chosen the band Eye Cue to represent them in Lisbon in May. The band will sing the song ‘Lost and Found’.
The band is made up of male and female vocalists Bojan Trajkovski and Marija Ivanovska and they tend to sing pop/rock songs. The broadcaster explained their selection process which reached its decision on 10 February and released its decision to the press earlier today:
‘The selected composition has a contemporary sound, impressive refrain and text, excellent and original vocal abilities of the performer, which certainly offers the opportunity for a quality Eurovision package and a worthy presentation of MRT and Macedonia.’
What do you make of Macedonia’s choice? They will be hoping to improve on their disappointing recent record of five consecutive non-qualifiers.
