For the past few months Israel has been engaged in selecting their Eurovision artist for 2018. This has taken the form of Israel’s Rising Star, the format that the nation have used for the past three years. Hundreds of participants had been whittled down to just four finalists earlier this evening.
The four contestants who will battle it out to be the Israeli pick for Eurovision 2018 in the final of Israel’s Rising Star are Riki Ben Ari, Chen Aharoni, Jonathan Mergui and Netta Barzilai.
The semi finals took place over two episodes this weekend. In the first part the judges selected the top two acts to compete for the first spot. This saw Netta Barzilai take on Riki Ben Ari winning with 67% to 44%.

The second round saw the remaining five acts battle it out for the second spot. This went to Chen Aharoni winning with 86%.

The final part saw the remaining four acts battle each other in duels for the last two spots.
