Israel’s Rising Star Airs Quarter Finals!

Israel got another step closer to choosing their Eurovision participant for 2018 last night when Israel’s Rising Star hosted the Quarter Finals which eliminated two more act, giving us a top six. Getting eliminated this week was Adva Omer and Ravit Batashvili.

For the latest edition of the selection show, Israel’s Rising Star saw a series of battles contested over two rounds. In the first round half of the acts were saved with the other half being put in the bottom four and who would have to undergo another battle in the second round to determine which two would leave the competition.

Round One

Battle 1: Eden Meiri- Lipol’ (71%, Second Round) v. Netta Barzilai- ‘Wannabe’ (90%, Advanced)
Battle 2: Chen Aharoni- ‘Rokedet’ (71%, Advanced) v. Adva Omer- ‘Lomedet lalechet’ (44%, Second Round)
Battle 3: Ravit Batashvili- ‘Al tidag’ (56%, Second Round) v. Riki Ben Ari- ‘Ani haya li mi’yom le’yom’ (76%, Advanced)
Battle 4: Jonathan Mergui- ‘Versace on the Floor’ (78%, Advanced) v.Howie Danao- ‘Habachor habayshan al psanter’ (61%, Second Round)

Round Two

Battle 5: Howie Danao- ‘Believer’ (85%, Advanced) v. Adva Omer- ‘Ad matai elohay’ (58%, Eliminated)
Battle 6: Ravit Batashvili- ‘El ha’olam shelach’ (77%, Eliminated) v. Eden Meiri- ‘Va’ani kore lach’ (84%, Advanced)



Israel will host a Semi Final round later this week which will give us our four finalists for 13 Feb. Which of the remaining hopefuls would you like to see win Israel’s Rising Star 2018?
