Malta Begin Eurovision 2018 National Selection Process!

Just a few weeks into Eurovision 2018 season and Malta are kicking off early. They move on to the next stage of their selection process having whittled 60 longlisted entries down to a final 30.

This list will be further shortened when sixteen of theses entries will be chosen to compete in the MESC final in January/February 2018.

Among the contenders are some familiar faces including participants from last year’s show Brooke Borg, Christabelle Borg, Raquel Glades, Deborah C, and Jasmine Abela who all missed out in 2017 to Claudia Faniello and her song ‘Breathlessly’. Nicole Azzopardi will also be familiar to Junior Eurovision fans as she represented Malta in the 2010 Contest coming in thirteenth place.

In 2018 the Maltese entry will solely be decided by the voting public.
