Our Eurovision World Cup feature returned for the second year in 2017. You have been voting in the various rounds of the Contest over the past two months. Last week we whittled it down to the two finalists and we can now reveal that the winner of the contest is Israel’s Imri Ziv with song ‘I Feel Alive’.
Imri Ziv has topped the final poll for the Eurovision World Cup receiving 58% of the vote. ‘I Feel Alive’ beat the UK’s Lucie Jones who got 42% of the vote with song ‘Never Give Up On You.’
Imri reached the final having got off to a good start topping the poll in Group E with 39% of the vote. From there he went on to eliminate Spain’s Manel Navarro in the last 16 (100%) , Portugal’s Salvador Sobral in the quarter finals (54%), Sweden’s Robin Bengtsson in the semi final round (65%).
Israel are the second winners of the Eurovision NI World Cup, following in the footsteps of Ireland’s Nicky Byrne who won the competition in 2016. The feature will return again next year. Keep your eyes peeled from March 2018.
