‘I Can’t Go On’ by Robin Bengtsson has been voted the winner of Melodifestivalen 2017 in the competitions final round in Stockholm last night.
The song was chosen over the other eleven songs that qualified in the preceding heats and second chance rounds.
Robin received 96 points from the juries vote and picked up 10.6% of the public vote and an additional 50 points giving him an overall total of 146 points.
Second place went to Nano for ‘Hold On’ who topped the public vote and who receive a total of 133 points. Jon Henrik Fjallgren and Aninia were third while Mariette, Benjamin Ingrosso and Wiktoria were fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
Robin Bengtsson will go on to represent Sweden at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, where if he wins he will see Sweden tie Ireland’s all time record of seven wins.
