Spain’s search for its 2017 Eurovision song and artist concluded this evening with the final of Objetivo Eurovision. Six acts were in contention; Maika, LeKlein, Paula Rojo, Manel Navarro, Mario Jefferson and Mirela. But in the end there could only be one winner.
It was Manel Navarro who was crowned the Spanish champ and who will go on to sing song ‘Do It For Your Lover’ at Eurovision 2017.
Although Alexander Rybak turned down the opportunity to perform at the Spanish national final, guest performers on the night included the 2016 Spanish Eurovision entrant Barei, 1971 Spanish Eurovision singer Karina, and 2001 Spanish Eurovision performer David Civera, while actors and singers Roko and Edu Soto performed a medley of Eurovision songs, and gospel ensemble group Black Light Gospel also performed.
