By the end of this week all of the Big Five will have announced their Eurovision acts. The UK chose Lucie Jones a few weeks back, while Germany’s Unser Song will take place this evening, Italy’s Sanremo kicked off on Monday and Spain’s Objetivo Eurovision will take place on Saturday night. The only of the Big Five that had been quiet were France. That silence has ended.
France’s national broadcaster France 2 teamed up again this year with France 4 to internally select singer Alma as their Eurovision 2017 participant.
She will go to Kiev to perform the track ‘Requiem’. As part of the Big Five, France automatically qualify for the final. It was announced last week that France will vote in the second semi final on 11th May.
