Slovenia’s Amaya Replaced by Clemens!


ema slovenia eurovision 2017Slovenian singer Amaya who was set to compete in the nation’s selection show for Eurovision 2017, has withdrawn to instead focus on her new album.

The singer was due to perform in the first of RTVSLO’s EMA 2017 semi finals on 17th February. Instead she will be replaced by Clemens. We await to hear the song titles from the performers for both semi finals. The amended full list of contenders is below.

Semi Final 1 (February 17th)

  • Lea Sirk
  • Nika Zorjan
  • Omar Naber
  • Sell Out
  • Tosca Beat
  • Zala Đurić Ribič

Semi Final 2 (February 18th)

  • Alya
  • BQL
  • Ina Shai
  • Kataya & Duncan Kamakana
  • Nuška Drašček
  • Raiven
  • Tim Kores Kori
  • United Pandaz & ARSELLO feat. Alex Volasko

In the semi final rounds four of the eight songs will advance to the final. Two of these songs will be selected by the public televote, with the final two slots being chosen from the remaining six by the jury.

The final meanwhile will be decided by six regional juries (50%) and the public televote (50%).
